The most important measurements are measurement A (known as PZ) and the length of the backplate (measurement F). Please check these measurements to make sure your new uPVC handles will fit.
Lever/Lever
A lever is a solid bar that pivots around a central point (known as a the fulcrum). When you apply force to the end of the bar, the fulcrum is likely to move in the direction of the force is applied. This motion increases the force and lets you lift or move things that would otherwise require more force to lift.
The distance between the fulcrum of the lever and the point where you apply force determines the most effective movement. This is referred to as the mechanical advantage. The advantage of mechanical force increases when the lever is extended. You can calculate mechanical advantage by dividing distance from fulcrum point to the point at which you are applying force by the distance between the fulcrum point and end of lever.
Levers can have different effects based on the method by which forces are applied. For instance the class 2 lever tends to rotate in the opposite direction when the force of effort is applied (like a teeter-totter). If you push on the door's handle the force will create rotational effects similar to this.
However, levers don't create energy. Levers increase the force by converting small amounts of effort applied over a longer distance into greater amounts of force applied over smaller distances. This allows you to complete more work in less time, which is the reason why levers are frequently employed to lift heavy objects or moving large amounts of cargo. This is also the principle behind the levers that are found in many everyday tools such as crowbars and fishing rods, claws for hammers and even your own legs when you stand on the hand brakes of your car.

Lever/Snib
Lever latches, the simplest of all door handles, are utilized. The lever is pushed down to open a latch inside the door that can be locked using keys. Certain lever privacy handles work using the same principle but with the addition of a lock snib (like a doorknob).
A snib button can be extremely useful, particularly in homes where it's essential to protect privacy or ensure security. You can use the snib button to stop your partner from entering until they are ready. This type handle can also be used for doors in the interior, like those in bedrooms where you wish to restrict access from outside.
In certain situations the snib button can cause issues, especially if you have older locks and doors that are bent. If the snib switch is accidentally pressed, or by someone who is not familiar with it, your door may slam and lock you out. Usually, you can still get in by knocking on the door frame or the letterbox, but this isn't the best option.
